EVENTS
5pm Service (not 10am)
Take a Sunday to sleep in or come back from a weekend getaway and still make it to church! On 6/28, the city hosts one of it's largest events, the Denver Pride Parade, right down 17th st., and blocks access to our building in the morning. As a result, we will gather at 5pm (instead of 10am) for our service.
Summer Park Days - City Park Jazz
Our monthly park hang is at City Park for the iconic Jazz in the park. We’ll have food, a full cooler, and it’s salsa night! Find me a better way to spend a summer evening in Denver…I’ll wait.
Summer Park Days - Cheesman Park
Our monthly summer park hang in August is at Cheesman Park. The grill will be hot, the cooler full, and all are invited for volleyball, cornhole, frisbee, and more! Look for the blue Fellow Citizens canopy tent and a handful of mediocre volleyball players having the time of their life.
Christ's Body Outreach
We'll spend a morning caring for our homeless neighbors by providing food, clothing, and prayer through our local partner, Christ’s Body Ministries.
Recycle God's Love Outreach
Volunteer with us at the Asterisk building downtown to serve a family style cookout of hot dogs and hamburgers along with other essentials for up to 400 individuals struggling with homelessness.
Summer Park Days - Wash Park
Join us for a monthly park hang throughout Denver. The grill will be hot, the cooler full, and all are invited for volleyball, cornhole, frisbee, and more!
Meet us over by the little Gazebo on Kentucky & Franklin, Look for the blue Fellow Citizens.
Family Sunday
As part of our core value of Church as Family, we occasionally invite children Kindergarten and up to participate in the main Sunday worship gathering. Learning to worship intergenerationally alongside our entire church body is powerfully formative for our little citizens growing up in our faith community, and these Sundays help us learn to follow Jesus (Matthew 18:3-5).
*While we do not offer elementary classes on family Sundays, nursery and Pre-K students are welcome to check-in to Little Citizens. We will provide fun busy bags for children who attend service.
Colfax Marathon
As a church of Public Faith in the heart of Denver, we are so excited to participate and serve at one of downtown Denver’s biggest events. Join us as we cheer on runners, supply food and water, eat pancakes, and spread the word about Fellow Citizens.
Instead of our regular service, here’s what May 17th will look like:
8am - setup at 17th and Grant St. (see map)
10am - short gathering outside St. Paul’s for prayer, worship, and communion
11am - tear down
Invite a friend and come by anytime between 8-11am
**NOTE - the race closes down Colfax Ave and 17th Ave, so getting to our building is a bit of a challenge (adventure?). Bike or walk if you’re able. If driving, we recommend finding parking on either side of the race and walking across to Fellow Citizens.
CHILD DEDICATIONS
We love our Little Citizens and feel a kingdom-responsibility to partner with parents in raising them in the faith. A portion of our liturgy this Sunday will be devoted to families dedicating their children to the Lord and our congregation receiving them with open arms. To sign up email michael@fellowcitizens.church
